Christian Paulisich

Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor

Living in a constant state of distress can feel exhausting and isolating. Maybe your mind feels stuck in overdrive — replaying worries, intrusive thoughts, or old memories you can’t get rid of no matter how hard you try. Christian Paulisich is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor who has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults struggling with OCD, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders. He is also deeply interested in supporting individuals living with chronic illness, exploring how health challenges can impact anxiety, mood, and overall well-being. Christian strives to create a nonjudgmental, affirming environment where you feel fully seen and supported in your therapeutic journey.

Christian earned his M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Towson University and his B.A. from Johns Hopkins University, where he studied Psychology and Medicine, Science, and the Humanities. Christian completed his clinical training at the Maryland Anxiety Center in Towson, MD, and has experience conducting research with both clinical and general populations. He is passionate about bringing research-informed, evidence-based practices into compassionate, individualized care, tailoring treatment to your needs, drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure with response prevention (ERP), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and self-compassion practices.

Christian’s goal is for you to leave each session feeling empowered to stand up against your distressing thoughts and beliefs, and equipped with practical tools to help you reduce distress, build resilience, and live in the present to lead your most meaningful life.
