The Center for Empowerment and Resilience is a trauma-informed mental health practice dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to children, adults, families, and couples. We are experienced in addressing trauma, anxiety, ADHD, and performance-based issues, using trauma-informed approaches to support healing, growth, and optimal functioning. As a values-driven group of clinicians, we’re dedicated to healing trauma and empowering resilience in the individuals and communities we serve.

We are currently expanding our team and are looking for licensed mental health therapists who are passionate about making a meaningful impact. Our clinicians are collaborative, grounded, and committed to continual growth—and we have fun while we do deeply important work.

What You’ll Do:
As a clinician at The Center for Empowerment and Resilience, you’ll provide outpatient therapy services to individuals, couples, families, and/or groups, depending on your areas of interest and expertise. Sessions are conducted in-person at our downtown Frederick location at 1 West Church Street and may also include telehealth.

We work with clients across the lifespan, with a strong focus on performance and trauma treatment. While EMDR basic training is highly preferred, we’re happy to support training shortly after hire. We also welcome clinicians trained in modalities such as IFS, DBT, Trauma-Informed CBT, art therapy, brain spotting, and neurofeedback.

What We Offer:

  • Fully furnished office space
  • Full administrative support – our team handles all intake, billing, and scheduling
  • Free group clinical consultation for all clinicians
  • Ongoing training and CEU support
  • A supportive, connected, and mission-driven team culture
  • We use Thrizer to simplify client billing and insurance claims, giving your clients a seamless payment experience

What We’re Looking For:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
  • Active, unrestricted license in the state of Maryland (LCPC, LCSW-C, LMSW, LGPC, LCMFT, PsyD, PhD, LCPAT)
  • Ability to hold a caseload of at least 15 client sessions per week
  • Experience with treatment planning, documentation, and trauma-informed care
  • A compassionate, inclusive, and self-aware approach to therapy
  • A genuine desire to grow professionally and support our mission to empower healing through resilience

Bonus Points For:

  • Prior experience in a private practice setting
  • EMDR, IFS, DBT, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), art therapy, or neurofeedback training, and brain spotting
  • Creative passions and a sense of humor!
